After an astonishing performance today, our Champion Marcos Baghdatis, passed like a hurricane through the 2nd round of the Australian Open, bringing back memories from 2006, eliminating Robin Soderling 3-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-3.
Despite losing the first set 6-3, and being 4-0 and 5-3 down a set-point in the second, our Champion proved once more that there is a huge road ahead, to win the match in four sets. Marcos will now face 23rd seed, Mardy Fish in the third round of the Open.
Once more, the "hot Greek crowd" played an important role in the match, cheering and supporting our Champion.
