Our Champion Marcos Baghdatis, looking much more confident and stronger today, has managed to come back on track and gained his first win after a long time, against Ivan Ljubicic of Kroatia, 7-6, 6-4.
Our Champion played great tennis throughout the match, although starting kind of tensed in the beginning, as well as towards the end of the match, losing a few match-points. As he stated after the game, it was a huge relief. The most important thing he said, is to keep moving during the game, make his game, and be himself on court.
In still four days left for the Aussie Open, our Champion will have some time to practise on his serve, play a few more practise matches, hoping to perform at his best during this year´s Grand Slam in Australia.
