In collaboration with his sponsor, the “Société Générale” of Cyprus, Marcos will take part in an exhibition match and encounter the French players, Fabrice Santoro and Marc Gicquel on April 10th 2007.
Fabrice Santoro, 57th on the ATP ranking is probably one of the best known French players due to his long tennis career. After almost 20 years on the circuit, Santoro is one of the most experienced players on the courts today. He has four singles titles to his name and has amassed 22 doubles trophies. At 34, he is at the top of his game. Nicknamed by journalists “The Magician of the Courts” he will be participating in this charity fund-raiser.
Marc Gicquel, ranked 42nd place is the N°3 French tennis player. After breaking into the Top 100 at the comparatively late age of 29, the 2006 season was his best to date and he reached his first ATP Tour final and also compiled a personal best of 17 ATP wins.
