Baghdatis has continued his excellent performance during the last two weeks and reached the finals of Marseille Open, where he lost against Gilles Simon, 6-4, 7-6 (3). On the road to the final, Baghdatis played outstanding tennis beating Janko Tipsarevic, Cyril Saurnier, Mikhail Youzhny, and Jarkko Nieminen. He is now scheduled to play in Dubai Open, the 26th of this month.
