Our champion, Marcos Baghdatis has lost in the 2nd round of this year´s Australian Open, against G. Monfils, 7-6 (5), 6-2, 2-6, 6-0. In the first round of the same event, Marcos defeated Rainer Schutler of Germany, 6-4, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2.
