The finals of the 2007 National Tournament took place at the National Centre, Saturday 24th of October 2007. The tournament was completed with great success with more than 450 matches being played over a period of nearly four weeks.
Mr. Philios Christodoulou, President of the Cyprus Tennis Federation, attending the trophies ceremony, noted that tennis fans had the opportunity to experience some great tennis during this year´s tournament. The President expressed his gratitude to all the players that took part in the tournament and thanked all the Federation´s employees and assistants who contributed in any way, making this tournament a success. Ending up, a very special thanks went to the sponsors of the Federation, Cytanet (main sponsor), Marfin Popular Bank, Blu Sparkling Water, Babolat Balls and Opap Cyprus.
Trophies were awarded to all winners and runners up by members of the Board and representatives of the sponsors. In the Mens Singles final, C. Koutrouzas was the big winner defeating D. Georghiou, 4-6, 7-6, 7-6. In the Doubles final, Leondis and Neocleous defeated Alkiviades and Damianou 7-6, 6-2. Details of all the scores can be found in our Local Tennis Schedule page.
