A team of U12 Cypriot young tennis stars represented our country in this year's BMW International Junior Cup in Germany. Our team consisted of Sergis Kyradjis, Constantinos Elia and Americos Argyriou in the Boys events and Jo Savva, Mara Argyriou and Maria Shopaha in the Girls events.
Our stars have proved with their performance that the Cyprus Tennis future is on the rise, with Kyradjis winning the singles event, against Michal Marko of Slovakia 7-5, 5-7, 6-3, Sergis and Elia reaching the doubles final against Schneiter and Harteis, 6-2, 6-1 and Savva and Heregova reaching the girls doubles final against Bencic and Sesnekova 6-3, 6-3. Mara and Americos Argyriou as well as Maria Shopaha had an excellent performance during their matches showing a lot of prospect for the future.
